Welcome to the Pittsburgh Science Workshop. We believe science enrichment should be free, joyful, meaningful, and easily accessible for everyone!
Our mission is to empower young people from low-income and under-served communities to grow academically, and expand their confidence, through hands-on science and creative ingenuity.
We believe that through experiments, tinkering, and building, children can develop a genuine interest in learning and a positive relationship with the world around them.
During the pandemic we’ve been busy developing and delivering free Family Science Kits so that children have a new point of access for enriching hands-on learning opportunities. Later this Spring we are excited to open our afterschool drop-in program for open-air science and tinkering.
