Welcome to the Pittsburgh Science Workshop. We believe science enrichment should be free, joyful, meaningful, and easily accessible for everyone!

Our mission is to empower young people from underserved communities to grow academically, and expand their confidence, through hands-on science and creative ingenuity.

We believe that through experiments, tinkering, and building, children can develop a genuine interest in learning and a positive relationship with the world around them. You can learn more about the vital impact Community Science Workshops are providing in the lives of youth in this NPR article.

Pittsburgh Science Workshop’s free drop-in hours are Wednesdays 4-6pm in McKees Rocks at 531 Chartiers Ave and Fridays 3:30-6:00pm on the Northside at 854 Kirkbride St. Kids and teens can try interesting new science experiments, and work on fun projects of their choice!  For age 7+ (or younger with support). Parents/caregivers welcome but not required. Come check it out! Questions? email team@sciworkshop or call (412) 545-3468
