Pittsburgh Science Workshop offers 4 main types of programs

After-School Drop-In
FREE Open Workshop time for Youth ages 7+ (younger with a support person). Drop by afterschool to explore exciting new science, and bring your ideas to life with constructive projects!
Wednesdays and Fridays 3:30-6:00pm Northside 1901 Brighton Rd + First Saturday Family Nights 5-7pm
Tuesdays 4-6pm McKees Rocks 531 Chartiers Ave + Third Saturday Family Nights 5-7pm

School Programs
For schools we offer inquiry-based, guided hands-on investigations, emphasizing problem-solving skills and experimentation. Aligned with state standards and on science and engineering topics of the teachers choice! Request a visit or contact us for a current list of activity offerings.

OST Partnerships
Pittsburgh Science Workshop collaborates with other youth-serving organizations to provide out-of-school STEM enrichment. We can tailor a one-time visit or ongoing partnership to reflect the interests of your group. Reach out to Dr. Fox to make a request.

Science Bus
Our Science Bus visits a wide array of public venues including block parties, community gatherings, schools, parks, and libraries. Including live animals and fascinating physics exhibits! Operating April – Nov, request a visit here. We prioritize visiting underserved communities.
